About Americares and SOH

In 2010, AmeriCares launched the Spirit of Humanity to identify and honour excellence by not-for-profit organizations working for the underprivileged, especially in the health care sector. Over the years, Spirit of Humanity has served as a centre of excellence, bringing together leaders across various fields, from the social sector to corporations.

Now in its sixth year, the Spirit of Humanity transitions into a national-level platform for collaboration, capacity building and recognition within the social sector in India. Across India, the Spirit of Humanity will bring together not-for-profit organizations, academia, government authorities, thought leaders and corporations for sustained engagement and cross learning. Working across nine impact sectors, the Spirit of Humanity presents unique partnership opportunities for corporations, foundations and donors.

Recognition Platform – The Spirit of Humanity Recognition Platform offers opportunities for sharing best practices, networking, cross learning, fostering alliances and recognition for not-for-profit organizations working across India. In each zone, NGOs will showcase their work, after which shortlisted candidates will present their case to jury panels. For each impact area, one finalist from each zone will qualify for a national level jury. Each finalist will receive a trophycertificationreward donation and other benefits.

Collaboration Platform – The RISE Summit will host round tables, chat tables, mentor sessions and workshopsbased on RISE values and principles – responsible, inclusive, sustainable, eco-friendly – to facilitate breakthrough exchanges and project alliances based on Open Space Technology. RISE 2015 will feature eminent personalities and experts from diverse sectors and be held in all four zones (partial) and at the national level for each impact area to Connect, Communicate and Collaborate.
