Going by the vision that drives us as an organization- RISE Infinity Foundation and Idobro, on occasion of International Women’s Day, didn’t merely do lip service and actually went ahead to provide real-time, actionable and even internationational opportunities for women.

The day kicked off with an inspiring yet heartfelt message from Karon Shaiva- Chief Impact Officer – IDOBRO & Managing Trustee – RISE Infinity Foundation. Whereby she emphasised the need for action to break the cycle of biases that perpetuates society and even economy at large and how everyone can do their bit to create a more inclusive world.

Thereafter, a session on “Empowering women through Financial Literacy” was conducted by Idobro, TATA Capital, DhanGyan and Society for Social Empowerment and Training in collaboration with Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL) and Kalina Campus, Mumbai University.

Throughout the day, exhibitions were hosted at 12 locations of RBL Bank to promote grass root women entrepreneurship and each of them supported local talent by purchasing their products and services.

Apart from this, Karon Shaiva joined the Arena Animation Andheri webinar on International Women’s Day “POWER TALK by POWER WOMEN” Session-1.

She also addressed the ICDS Anganwadi workers at Lalit Kala Bhavan near Jambhori Maidan on the occasion of International Women’s day.

The event was organised by Maharashtra Labour Welfare Board in collaboration with Integrated Child Develop Scheme (Prabhadevi Beat), Swaman Manavadhikar Parishad & Divyang Human Rights Federation. Among the other speakers Dr. Vijayashree Iyengar spoke about financial literacy & Mahesh Rajguru launched his campaign of Meri Poushtik Rasoi by briefing the attendees about this interesting cooking contest. The event was attended by Smt. Anita Meshram Wankhede, Additional Collector, Mumbai District & Smt. Shilpa Kamte, Tahsildar, Mumbai.

The activities were not merely limited to on-ground local opportunities and extended beyond boundaries with offering of two international programmes for women-led initiatives. WEConnect International is inviting the Women-Owned Business to register for the Marketing and Sales training to be held on 9th and 10th March 2022 at 3.00pm – 5.00pm IST (3.30pm-5.30pm Dhaka time) Funded by U.S. Department of States Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs (SCA), WEConnect International is implementing a 3-year regional project on “Women’s Empowerment through Economic Inclusion” in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Maldives. Training module will cover the following aspects: - Develop a winning sales pitch - Drive Commercial and business negotiations - Build successful marketing and selling skills The objective of this training programme is to provide capacity building for Women Business Owners (WOBs) to learn and adopt improved business practices, enhance their business connectivity and readiness as suppliers, and develop confidence as assertive business leaders.

Applications for "Mentoring Women in Business Programme" by the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women are now open. The Mentoring Programme matches women entrepreneurs with men and women mentors from around the world, to help women entrepreneurs start and grow successful businesses. As a participant of the programme, women entrepreneurs will be expected to meet online for a minimum of two hours each month with your mentoring partner for the next 12 months. As a mentoring pair, they will work together to set SMART personal and business goals that they will focus on achieving throughout their time working together on the programme.
